Individual Therapy for Adults
I offer therapy to adults dealing with a wide range of issues including, but not limited to, questions about their identity, relationships, and a desire to feel better. Perhaps you are lonely or want to address a recent loss or change. Perhaps you have been trying to make a change but can’t stick to it. Or maybe you’re not quite sure what is off, but you feel stuck, dissatisfied, and disconnected from the people around you. Whatever it is that brings you to therapy, we can explore you and your experiences together.
My patients are curious about themselves and want to understand why they feel the way they do. Much of our work will focus on the here-and-now: things that are going on in your life today. We will also explore the there-and-then as it comes up. Early experiences and relationships with primary caregivers shape how we go through the world and have relationships as adults. We will unpack the organizing principles you have come to form, often without realizing it. Reflecting on our relationship will also offer a way for us to understand you.
I foster a sense of curiosity and meaning-making that will help you deepen your insight and understand yourself better. My hope is that you will expand your sense of what is possible and come to experience a wider range of emotion and connection.
