Therapy for Adolescents

Teenage years are a time of exploration and evolving identity. While increasing independence and newfound capacities can bring excitement, adolescence can also be a period of intensity and confusion about what is happening internally and in the world around you. Sometimes mood changes and shifts in behavior are signs that emotions have become overwhelming or are hard to name and understand.

My work with adolescents often focuses on identity, self-esteem, school, and relationships with family and peers. Together we will explore your world and put words to your experiences. I strive to create an atmosphere where teens feel safe to open up at their pace, build emotional awareness, and deepen their curiosity about who they are. By reflecting on their internal worlds and relationships, teens can gain confidence, grow in their emotional capacity, and expand their ways of relating.
